Friends Are Forever
It has been a blessing to help others in the past. But, they had disappeared never to check in to tell me they were fine.
Until last week, I was walking to the bus stop. Yes, the bus stop. Not having a vehicle to drive is a rarity for me. But, as I walked across the street a vehicle stopped abruptly and the fella inside said, "Tam? Is that you, Tam?"
Well, I have been visiting with him a bit these past few weeks and last week I moved into his home. It's been very tranquil. Just like when I let him move in with me, when he was ousted from his home at 19. It's been 6 1/2 years since I saw him. He was still working at the same place and never lived far from me. Yet we hadn't seen each other in so long. Our belief systems are opposites, but our basic approach towards life is similar. Quite, private, and peaceful...yet friendly to others. Intelligent conversation, and the respect of the others 'space'.
I don't know how long this will last...but, I find it to be the way 'home'...should feel. And I am able to have my own 'space', without interruption.
Enjoying music, great food, laughter, and quiet, good manners, and opposing opinions. My daughter is over joyed and is comfortable, and happy. It's truly a nice life, so far.
But, the funniest thing...last night we watch Acroos the Universe, and he was trying to explain it to me. I looked at him and said, "I was born in 1965...I have seen the Beatles and the Rolling Stones be introduced to the USA" I had the record albums, and lived during the Vietnam War." He looked shocked, with a smile. . .saying, "Really? Wow."

Lybia attacked
Good questions...now to find the answers. I don't think it's as simple as this man says, but at least he is thinking. I am concerned, I am thinking of my precious soldier who may go to the worst bloodshed in warfare, ever in history. I am praying. It is not in my control to do much more. God protect our soldiers. Protect your own. Forgive us as a nation for our dreadful sins, and lift us out of all of this mess.
Lybia attacked
Interesting, and good question? I think similarly..yet...there is more to it, ans I must know the answers. The troops will be called in eventually...the worst bloodshed ever between nations is coming. My precioous soldier will be in it...

Far Behind "Candlebox" Cover No Shame
So many memories of Bo playing his guitar for me by the lake, or oh a hike...or playing just something in his heart, on the porch rocker.
I love the great people I grew up with, and their undeniable talents. Now, if I could just bring them together...he he...

The Vicksburg Post - James Vernon Tarver

Lot's of misspelling going on... which let's me know who wrote this sweet obituary. All this was left out, and that Daddy worked for Gilbarco, in Greensboro, NC...and had two patents. He worked for Exxon before I was born...and designed some cool creations for diesel pumps...
Oh, whatever...it was sweetly done...Svea is where Daddy is buried...Now, who would have written this? I know : ). I edit for him. Sweet Ray.

James Taylor - Fire and Rain, Live 1970
My cousin lost her dad almost a year before I lost mine. We were both kept from seeing out Papas...and she posted this song this morning...how strangely connected we are. I woke this morning from tears sliding down my face...yes, this is how I feel about so many people...and things...and situations...How beautiful! There is a song for everything.
